Thanks to All Bar Regulars
Your virtual brass plaques have been installed on the virtual bar wall.
Great thanks and a raised glass to all the generous subscribers who, during this first month in the life of the newsletter, stepped up to the bar here at “The Mix” and established themselves as Bar Regulars! I’ve always liked the way some old joints honor their faithful patrons by inscribing their name on a brass plaque and nailing it to the bar or wall. P.G. Melon and Pietro’s are two places here in New York that practice this sort of honorific. I’m sure there are places in every city that do that same.
In that tradition, here is the Wall of Honor at “The Mix,” festooned with the names of the brave and glorious inaugural group of Bar Regulars. It will be refreshed every month or so with new plaques.
Anyone else who is interested in joining the worthies on this wall can do so at any time. Just hit the Subscriber button and upgrade to “Bar Regular.”
As promised, all Bar Regulars will get a signed copy of my new book, Modern Classics, when it is released by Ten Speed Press this autumn.
Thanks again and Cheers! Hope to share a drink with you sometime soon at an actual brass rail.
Chuffed to be among this smart group who know great work, Robert! Now if I can just get invited to the Winter Martini Club I'll be feeling really brassy.
Proud to be on, and in, your Mix. Casey😘
