Thanks to the New Bar Regulars
A New Class of Virtual Brass Plaques Have Been Added to the Wall
Great thanks and a raised glass to the new group of generous subscribers who, over the last month in the life of the newsletter, stepped up to the bar here at “The Mix” and established themselves as Bar Regulars!
I’ve always liked the way some old joints honor their faithful patrons by inscribing their name on a brass plaque and nailing it to the bar or wall. P.G. Melon and Pietro’s are two places here in New York that practice this sort of honorific. I’m sure there are places in every city that do that same.
In that tradition, here is the newly enlarged Wall of Honor at “The Mix,” festooned with the names of the brave and glorious inaugural group of Bar Regulars. It will be refreshed every month or so with new plaques.
Anyone else who is interested in joining the worthies on this wall can do so at any time. Just hit the Subscriber button and upgrade to “Bar Regular.”
As promised, all Bar Regulars will get a signed copy of my new book, Modern Classics, when it is released by Ten Speed Press this autumn.
Thanks again and Cheers! Hope to share a drink with you sometime soon at an actual brass rail.
