All the vintage ware really made the video pop. The family affair with memorabilia & hands on family approach is special ❤️
I just got the book today & enjoying the Martinez. It was one of my first cocktails intro years ago. I ordered it off the menu thinking it was a Spanish cocktail due to its name.
The film IS the height of fabulosity! Brilliant and fun and beautiful! Great idea and superb filming, editing and acting!
Was it shot on film or digitally? I do have a reason for asking. And as the daughter of a saloonkeeper I loved seeing the cocktails! Can’t wait to get the book delivered and dive in.
Congrats, Mazel Tov and to many more best selling books!
People say it both ways. Believe me, I looked deeply into it before we made this video. Asher actually says it different than I do, but I think both ways are legitimate.
I love the promo film. Good fun. I think I recognized Julie’s are-we-done-yet expression. And I look forward to hearing when Manhatta gets a new drink menu. Hope the launch party tonight is a blast!
Well done Robert, Asher, and all involved. This is absolutely fantastic!
Unfortunately I had completely missed this post until today as the substack email went in my spam folder and I happened to stumble on it there. Which is why I also missed that you were visiting the Book Larder until after the fact, or I’d have made the trek on a ferry boat to come pick up a signed copy. I guess I’ll have to wait for the next book/book tour.

Congrats again!
Whoa! Brilliant. Subtle, intelligent. And someone knows how to set a stage, direct a performance. Excellent.
Thanks, Joe!
Just had a chance to check out the full video. Well done, Asher!
Thanks, Amanda!
Great job, Asher and Co.! "Accidentally Wes Anderson" this is not. Clearly a lot of time and effort went into each shot!
A lot of time!

Thank you so much for the kind words!
This film is amazing … love love love
Thank you!
Excellent production and another great book!
Thank you so much. Glad you like it.
Terrific promotional video! You've raised the bar, indeed. And have I been mispronouncing the Martinez (Mar-teen-ez vs. Mar-tin-ez) all these years?
People say it both ways. Believe me, I looked deeply into it before we made this video. Asher actually says it different than I do, but I think both ways are legitimate.
I wondered about that as well.
Tremendously well done. Pitch perfect! 👍👍
Thanks, John!
LOVE the trailer. love the story behind the film. can't wait to see more from this up-and-coming filmmaker!
He’s on his way!
What a wonderful film! Congratulations.
Thanks, Kathleen! That means a lot coming from you.
Oh this is so charmingly well done! When does the full movie come out?
Ha, ha! Maybe this will get Asher a studio deal!
This is so very charming! Well done, Team Simonson!
Thanks!

Julie was very game! That’s her hand on the Rob Roy too!
Fantastic work everyone!
Thanks, Bob!
