I do love the Moser Martini, if there ever was a “summer Martini” that is it. Can’t wait until tonight!

For years, I've been convinced that aquavit (unaged) is great in lime-baser sours. Back when Long Island Bar did brunch, I'd often finish the meal with an LIB Gimlet with Brennivin subbed for the gin. Also works great in a more traditional 2:1:1 sour.

I am sooooooo sorry I missed this play!!! But I don't have to miss the aquavit Martini. I will try to get there and look forward to reading the recipe. I love Blue Gin and I have often enjoyed a Bloody Mary with Krogstad Aquavit? I would love your opinion on that combo! On a side note, I had dinner at Kolman with Hans Reisetbauer last fall after an extensive tasting of his schnaps. I remember the beginning of the evening quite well and I've been told I had a great time right through until the end.

Let me know if you come. I'm only supposed to be there tonight, but will gladly meet you another day, if I can.

I was unable to make it there in the time allotted. My loss I'm certain.

I love aquavit, it’s by far the best base for a Bloody Mary, and I’m looking forward to my Moser Martini this afternoon.

An outrage you didn't get your snaps on stage. I think the story about Ibsen drinking aquavit every day is true. At the Ibsen museum they state that he visited Grand Café every day at noon for lunch. The cafe still exists https://www.grandcafeoslo.no/

Aquavit is also excellent for curing salmon!

Love that idea! (Full disclosure, have never cured salmon)

It's great for summer. Equal parts sugar and salt, some spices and herbs if you like, sprinkle with the aquavit, wrap and refrigerate. I think Martha Stewart has a good recipe.

Have you tried Aalborg Jubilaeums Aquavit? I enjoy it very much because it is not caraway forward and has a softer botanical profile. We ate brunch at Koloman on a visit to NYC last year and loved it. Wish I could make make it to your Moser Martini evenings.!

I think I've tried that, but it was a while back.
