I will. I went to the grocery store tonight and no honeydew melon. Trying another tomorrow. Perhaps The US Open depleted the supply on the east coast corridor! HA!

Lovely piece, Robert! I’ve enjoyed a Pimm’s Cup in England at Ascot but have never been to the Derby or Open. What a stellar business the Deuce is. Those numbers are staggering. Another excellent newsletter!

Thank you, Susie! I had my first Pimm's Cup in Wimbledon many years ago. I've yet to attend the Kentucky Derby.

Fascinating. Reason enough, I suppose, to attend the Open, to which I have not previously been drawn.

Beach Boys allusion seemed to come out of nowhere, but appreciated nonetheless.

The headline was either that or "What the Deuce?"

Terrific! We've been doing variations of this (unbeknownst - this is my very first awareness of the Honey Deuce!) for our towns "First Friday's" events for a few years - vodka lemonade with a fruit twist - strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, even cucumber. I can confirm - the general public LOVES this combo. Fun story

It's funny how a drink can be so big, and yet still be largely unknown at the same time, isn't it. I had no idea how popular the Honey Deuce was until I started looking into it. Since I'm not much of a tennis fan, the drink's universe was beyond my purview.
