Excellent suggestions all. Thanks Mary Kate. We’ll give these a spin, starting with the Ango floater at LIB. We’ve done a few shaken piña coladas at home lately, tempered with lime juice and healthy skoches of Ango, strained over crushed ice. Just outstanding.
Wow these sound amazing!! I wonder if any respectable places are doing this around Vegas? Down on the Strip and Fremont Street of course there's a frozen drink kiosk every 10 feet using all sorts of drink containers. Leaving the Las Vegas Aces game (a nice win over the Seattle Storm) I saw a guy just walking from such a stand in the Luxor casino - with a 4'-tall "cup" holding 100 oz of blech. $55
I looked on the map near the Aces stadium and there were lots of bars (I don’t know any of them! ) but I did see the 1923 Prohibition Bar had a Dole Whip Machine…that may be a start… 😂
There are many great cocktails joints on the Strip. Tony Abou Ganim opened a restaurant years ago there at Mandalay Bay just outside the Aces arena but I don't know if he's still associated with that place. The stinker is everything on the Strip is super pricey (base price+resort fee+tax+tip) it's ridiculous. I'll have to hit the ground at off strip places like Sparrow+Wolf, Liquid Diet, Laundry Room, Stray Pirate, and all the small joints off most radars
El Cantinero was my first legal drink at the age of 21. Pretty sure it was my first major hangover as well. Perhaps the secret all these years later is staying... a-float.
These were some excellent frozen drinks!
We have many more to try this summer!
A great, timely round-up, given our heat wave. Now I want a float on everything.
Let’s get one!!

Happy summer! ☀️
Happy Summer to you too! Enjoy the parade! 🧜🧜♂️🧜♀️
I need to make a summer trip to Long Island Bar. This frozen cosmo with a shot of Rum Bar speaks to me.
You won’t be sorry. Our treat!

I can't even.
It never hurts to ask.
Amazing! No blech!

I hate super pricey! But it sounds like you’re off to a good start!
Paging Tony Abou Ganim!!
Now I'm craving a slushy, frozen drink! I'm determined to try a frose this summer and then some. What a fun article!
Add the shot, Kathleen it is really good!

Ha. I love this. That well tequila might have had a little to do with the hangover. Lolz.
I just realized that day was exactly 32 years ago. Yeeeesh!
